Textile designing is a creative field that includes fashion design, carpet manufacturing and any other cloth-related field. Textile design fulfills a variety of purposes in our lives. For example, our clothing, carpets, drapes, towels, and rugs are all a result of textile design.
The 2 year Master Degree “Textile Design” course is developed and recognized by the Govt.University approved by UGC, AIU&DEB
The First Module Aims to introduce the basic and advance aspects of Introduction to fashion, Textile studies, Fiber science technology, Computer application, Communication & Soft Skills With practical, projects, portfolio development and Viva Voce exposure to the students. The students are also exposed to various industry visits, seminars by experts, market exposure
The Second Module Provides them to build up the core knowledge and skills on designing and it is various technicalities to enhance their ability with modules like spun yarn technology, woven fabric Manufacturing, Knitting Technology, Computer Aided textile Design with Practical, Project & appreciation with portfolio development
The Third Module Follows the innovation and understanding of new creation to enhance their professional ability with modules like Apparel marketing & merchandising, Theory of clothing manufacturing, fashion management, Computer graphic Textile Design on different software, with Practical projects, portfolio development.
The Fourth Module The students will be prepared for Industry internship with the analysis of Fabric structure design and best practices in the area of design and technical aspect of chemical processing of textiles with manufacturing processes comprise production planning & control, product analysis, Hand Dyeing and Printing & Entrepreneurship Management and Retailing With Practical, Project & appreciation with portfolio development
The students undergo the compulsory 1 month industry internship to nourish themselves with the industrial working conditions. The final fabric, yarn, cotton, collection is made for the annual Fashion show or annual exhibition and Industrial visits are also planned to give the first feel of the textile industry to the students.
NOTE: The lateral entry admissions to the year 2nd of the MSC Degree in Textile Design are also applicable to the students who have done graduation plus PG diploma in textile design of min. one year duration……………………………………………………………………………
