Advance Diploma in Fashion Designs (ADFD)

Course Duration : 2 year/4 sem (Eligibility : 10+2/ PUC/ Equivalent).

Fashion Design has been introduced with basic concepts and knowledge in fashion and its business. This course provides industry oriented knowledge methodology with technical under Standing and professional skills.

The 2 year Bachelor Degree “Fashion Design” course is developed and recognized by the Govt. University approved by UGC, AIU & DEB Under Minister of HRD Govt of India.

Course Module

YEAR-I

The First Module Offers basic modules of learning to provide a foundation on designing. Accordingly these are modules on Drafting & Pattern making, Fashion Sketching, Textiles Studies, Computer fundamental with communication and soft skills are sharpened throughout the Courses.

The Second Module Provides them to build up the core knowledge and skills on designing and it is various technicalities To enhance their ability with modules like Fabric studies, Traditional Indian textiles, Fashion Illustration, Practical Project & appreciation with portfolio development.

YEAR-II

The Third Module Follows the innovation and understanding of new creation to enhance their professional ability with modules like Construction studies of innovative garments, Fashion history, Computer graphics & Fashion designing and Fashion presentation.

The Fourth Module The students will be prepared for Industry internship with the analysis of best practices in the area of design and technical aspect of manufacturing processes comprise production planning & control, product analysis, quality control and advance CAD designing on different software, advance women's wear projects, men's and kid's wear garment projects, portfolio development.

The students undergo the compulsory 1 month industry internship to nourish themselves with the industrial working conditions. The final garment collection is made for the annual Fashion show or annual exhibition and Industrial visits are also planned to give the first feel of the apparel industry to the students.
